Earth Day! Wednesday April 22, 2015.

Hi Grade 9 Science Class!
Just a reminder that we will be going outside for our period 6 class to do an Earth day community clean up.
Please bring your jacket with you to class because you will need it!

This is the logo that I made for our flag! I just finished printing off and cutting out all of the lovely images that you guys made! Wow!
This flag is looking awesome! I will for sure have it ready by Thursday to sign and take a picture with.

A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash. Documentary. Monday April 20th.

Hi Grade 9 DMCI Science class!
On Tuesday April 21st we are going to finish watching the Documentary: A Crude Awakening
(we will also finish the worksheet that goes with watching the documentary).

If you have not handed in the following assignments,
please do so at the beginning of class on Tuesday:

1) Renewable and Non-Renewable Resources Worksheet
2) Renewable Resources Homework Assignment: Flag Competition Logo 
3) Media Release Form

On Wednesday April 22nd we will be celebrating Earth Day by going outside and cleaning up garbage/ recyclables around DMCI. Please be prepared to go outside (bring your jacket to class).

I will be supplying gloves, garbage bags and recycling bags.

I was hoping to take a group photo together so please get those media release forms signed!

On Thursday April 23rd I was thinking that you guys can sign the Earth Day flag with your Earth Day pledges. (I have fabric markers for you to use).

Renewable Resource Homework Assignment: Flag Competition Details



If you send your Earth Flag to Earth Day Canada before June 5, 2015, your school will be automatically entered into a random draw for an active transportation experience or event of your choosing (up to a value of $2000).

Drawing Requirements:
Draw a renewable resource with an artistic edge.
Colour your image.
Image is due on Monday April 20th (so that I can start ironing on the logo's to our flag).
